Boots Botanics Organic Facial Oil – I have been looking for a facial oil for some time now and I have always loved the Boots Botanics range. Boots kindly gifted me this facial oil and I have not been able to put it down since using it. Now oils can be a massive struggle for me. My skin is extremely sensitive and tends to break-out at the randomest of times. I must admit, I was afraid to try this oil hoping that it would not break me out. I applied a few drops of this oil straight from the pipette onto my face and massaged it into my skin. I tend to use heavy skincare products during the night and so I did the same with this oil. In the morning, I was left with smooth and clear skin. No new spots had appeared and there was little to no residue. It was almost as if my skin had soaked up all of the product (My skin obviously needed the extra moisture).

As well as using this product at night, I have tried to use it underneath my make-up in the mornings, risky I know! I apply a few drops prior to applying a lightweight moisturiser and then apply my make-up on top. The first time I did this, I think that I applied too much and so I looked extremely shiny. Let’s just say that a little goes a long way. I aimed to try this method again, only applying the smallest amount underneath my moisturiser and hey presto, my skin looked radiant, healthy and youthful.

I would highly recommend using this product, both in the morning and in the evening. Tried and tested on acne prone and sensitive skin. (Please remember that all skin types will react differently to products)

Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream – As well as struggling with acne, my skin always looks dull and so I decided to try out this hydrating day cream with brightening properties. I do like a moisturiser that is quite hydrating in the day and this one does not do the job as expected. My make-up started to cake and I could see dry patches forming throughout the day. I did give this product the benefit of the doubt and tried it again but I had the same issue. I did notice that my skin looked brighter when using this product and when I first applied my make-up, I was happy with the overall finish.

If you are a non-make-up wearer this moisturiser would be perfect for you, however if like me you do wear make-up, I would opt for a different moisturiser from the range. My recommendations include the Botanics Organic Hydrating Day Cream or the Botanics Hydration Burst Hydrating Day Cream.

Do you have a favourite product from the Boots Bontanics range?
